From 1st October 2018 GP practices in Retford and surrounding villages will commence weekday provision of extra access to pre-bookable appointments in the evenings from 18:30 until 20:00 and some appointments at weekends.

Patients registered with Kingfisher Family Practice, Riverside Health Centre, Riverside/Harworth Medical Centre, Misterton and Gringley Surgeries, Crown House Surgery, Tuxford Medical Centre and North Leverton Surgery will be eligible to book these extra appointments by contacting their GP practice.

How it works

The Retford and local village GP practices have joined together to provide evening and weekend extended access. Three sites will host the extended access across the week. ANY PATIENT can book any of the appointments. Book in by contacting your own practice.

To improve access to GP services the extended access appointments will be delivered by a variety of clinical staff i.e. GP’s, advanced nurse practitioners, practice nurses, health care assistants and other community staff.

Our aim is for patients to experience the same level of care, even though they may attend a different surgery and see different healthcare professionals.
